Prospects for Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Serbia in the Mining Industry Discussed

On September 7, 2026, the first meeting of the Uzbekistan–Serbia Intergovernmental Commission was held in Belgrade. The meeting was attended by F. Khamidova, First Deputy Minister of Mining Industry and Geology of Uzbekistan.

As part of the meeting, representatives of the Ministry held discussions with the State Secretary of the Ministry of Mining and Energy of Serbia, as well as representatives of GOSA FOM, a company specializing in the production of equipment and machinery for the mining, metallurgical, and energy industries.

The meeting focused on expanding the production of specialized machinery, introducing advanced technologies, developing industrial cooperation, and strengthening the material and technical base of the mining industry.
